Apple has won a ruling in California federal court that dismisses a proposed class action that accused the company of restricting technology used to build apps on the iPhone, causing consumers to pay more for their devices, reports Reuters.

U.S. District Judge Richard Seeborg in San Francisco said the plaintiffs didn’t have legal standing to pursue their antitrust claims for now. The claims are that Apple made unlawful agreements with Google and other browser makers to block competing developer technology.

The suit also claimed that the tech giant acted to block the use of Progressive Web Apps (PWA) to prevent them replacing native App Store apps. “Apple used contractual restraints on its iOS ecosystem,” says the filing, “to exclude the introduction of cross-platform PWAs on iPhones.”
