Since I can’t cover everything, I like to offer a daily round-up of must-read articles from some other great websites.

° From 9to5Mac: Apple is once again teaming up with Billie Eilish, this time to exclusively stream her concert from the O2 Arena in London on Apple Music.

° From Apple’s YouTube channel: Apple has posted a video ad designed to highlight the Action mode on certain models of the iPhone 14.

° From FOSS Patents: Apple’s Korean headquarters in the city of Gangnam-gu were subjected to a dawn raid by the Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC), which is Korea’s antitrust authority.

° From Bloomberg: It could take Apple eight years to move even as little as 10% of its production away from China.

° From MacRumors: Apple has stopped signing iOS 16 and iOS 16.0.1, the two previously available versions that came out in mid-September. Since the two versions are no longer being signed, it is not possible to downgrade to those versions of iOS after installing iOS 16.0.2.

° From The Mac Observer: The new ad-free Instagram client OG App has already been removed from the App Store, though not for the reasons you would suspect.

° From AppleInsider: Eight years after the iPhone 6 launched in 2014, Apple has added the device to its list of vintage products.

° From MacVoices Live!: On the new episode, the MacVoices Live! panel of David Ginsburg, Jim Rea, Warren Sklar, Mark Fuccio, Jeff Gamet, Chuck Joiner, and Brittany Smith wraps up their heated Google Photos debate before catching up on a number of other items, including flesh-tone Beats Fit Pro earphones, discussing why Apple’s prompt response to security is a good thing (contrary to what some headlines would have you believe), and deep dive into the state of some of Apple’s development tools.
