TripIt from SAP Concur to launch new widget capabilities when iOS 16 arrives

Next week, TripIt from SAP Concur, a travel organizing apps, is launching new widget capabilities for iPhone users as part of Apple’s iOS 16 update.

With the new Lock Screen widget, TripIt users can view the most relevant details for their trip or activity without having to unlock their phone, helping people who may be juggling luggage, children, passports, a coffee, or all of the above while traveling. A quick glance at your phone will show information  including:

  • Upcoming trip or plan, whether it’s a flight, train, rental car, hotel, restaurant, or stop on your road trip.
  • Relevant flight information, including the flight number and departure time, plus gate number when available.
  • Post-landing details, whether that’s a rental car reservation or hotel booking details.

A simple tap on the Lock Screen widget will take users to the TripIt app to view their full itinerary.

Additionally, TripIt has medium and small Home Screen widgets available for iOS users. More information about the widgets will publish on the TripIt blog on Monday, Sept. 12, when iOS is slated to debut.
