Hackers gain control of ‘Fast Company” Apple news account and send offensive notifications

Apple is selling Apple News ads directly for the first time.

Apple has disabled Fast Company‘s Apple News account overnight after hackers gained control of it and sent two offensive push notifications to the channel’s followers.

In a tweet Apple said: “An incredibly offensive alert was sent by Fast Company, which has been hacked. Apple News has disabled their channel.”

Fast Company confirmed the hack and said this in a tweet: “We are investigating the situation and have suspended the feed & shutdown http://FastCompany.com until we are certain the situation has been resolved.”
