Apple to start manufacturing the iPhone 14 in India two months after initial production run in China

Apple plans to begin manufacturing the iPhone 14 in India about two months after the product’s initial release out of China, “narrowing the gap between the two countries but not closing it completely as some had anticipated,” reports Bloomberg

The article says the tech giant has been working with suppliers to ramp up manufacturing in India and shorten the lag in production of the new iPhone from the typical six to nine months for previous launches. Previous reports said the iPhone 14 will be manufactured almost simultaneously in China and India as part of the tech giant’s efforts to diversify its production partners. The iPhone 14 line-up is expected to debut in September or October. Among the rumors about the smartphone update:

° Some models may cost US$100 more than their iPhone 13 counterparts.

° At least some of the models will be eSIM-only.

° The ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌ will contain 8GB of RAM.

° Some will sport 120GHz displays.

° The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models will have a hole + pill design.

° The top two models have also have OLED screens.

° They will support the Wi-Fi 6E standard.

° Black, white, blue, red and purple will be the color options for the iPhone 14, while graphite, gold, silver and purple will be available on the iPhone 14 Pro.
