Apple TV+ shows nominated for 52 Emmy awards

Apple TV+’s ‘Ted Lasso’ and “Severance” are among the streaming service’s shows that racked up 52 Emmy nominations.

“Ted Lasso” is nominated for Best Comedy Series. It’s up against “Abbott Elementary,” “Barry,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Hacks,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” “Only Murders in the Building,”  and “What We Do in the Shadows.”

Jason Sudeikis of “Ted Lasso” is nominated for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. He’s up against Donald Glover (“Atlanta”), Bill Hader (“Barry”), Nicholas Hoult (“The Great”), Steve Martin (“Only Murders in the Building”), and Martin Short (“Only Murders in the Building”). 

“Severance” is nominated for Best Drama Series. It’s up against “Better Call Saul,” “Euphoria,” “Ozark,” “Squid Game,” “Stranger Things,” “Succession,” and “Yellowjackets.”

Juno Temple, Hannah Waddingham, and Sarah Niles of “Ted Lasso” are up for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. They’re up against Alex Borstein (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”), Hannah Einbinder (“Hacks”), Janelle James (“Abbott Elementary”), Kate McKinnon (“Saturday Night Live”), and Sheryl Lee Ralph (“Abbott Elementary”)

Brett Goldstein, Toheeb Jim, and Nick Mohammed of “Ted Lasso” are all nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. They’re up against Anthony Carrigan (“Barry”), Henry Winkler (“Barry”), Tony Shalhoub (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”), Tyler James Williams (“Abbott Elementary”), and Bowen Yang (“Saturday Night Live”).

The show’s Harriet Walter is nominated for Best Guest Actress in a Comedy Series. She’s up against Jane Adams (“Hacks”), Harriet Sansom Harris (“Hacks”), Jane Lynch (“Only Murders In The Building”), Laurie Metcalf (“Hacks”), and Kaitlin Olson (“Hacks”).

James Lance and Sam Richardson of “Ted Lasso” are nominated for Best Guest Actor in a Comedy Series. They’re up against Jerrod Carmichael (“Saturday Night Live”), Bill Hader (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”), Nathan Lane (“Only Murders In The Building”), and Christopher McDonald (“Hacks”).

Adam Scott of “Severance” is nominated for Best Lead Actor in a Drama Series. He’s up against Jason Bateman (“Ozark”), Brian Cox (“Succession”), Lee Jung-jae (“Squid Game”), Bob Odenkirk (“Better Call Saul”), and Jeremy Strong (“Succession”). 

John Turturro and Christopher Walken of “Severance” and Billy Crudup of Apple TV+’s “The Morning Show” are all nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. They’re up against Nicholas Braun (“Succession”), Kieran Culkin (“Succession”) Park Hae-soo (“Squid Game”), Matthew Macfadyen (“Succession”), and Oh Yeong-su (“Squid Game”).

Patricia Arquette of “Severance” is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. She’s up against Julia Garner (“Ozark”), Jung Ho-yeon (“Squid Game”), Christina Ricci (“Yellowjackets”),  Rhea Seehorn (‘Better Call Saul”), J. Smith-Cameron (“Succession”), Sarah Snook (“Succession”), and Sydney Sweeney (“Euphoria”).

° Reese Witherspoon of Apple TV+’s “The Morning Show” is nominated for Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series. She’s up against Jodie Comer (“Killing Eve”), Laura Linney (“Ozark”), Melanie Lynskey (“Yellowjackets”), Sandra Oh (“Killing Eve”), and Zendaya (“Euphoria”).  

° Marcia Gay Harden of “The Morning Show” is nominated for Best Guest Actress ini a Drama Series. She’s up against Hope Davis (“Succession”), Martha Kelly (“Euphoria”), Sanaa Lathan (“Succession”), Harriet Walter (“Succession”), and Lee You-mi (“Squid Game”).

° “The Problem with Jon Stewart” is nominated for “Best Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special.” It’s up against “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman,” “Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy,” “VICE,” and “The World According to Jeff Goldblum.”

° The “Severance” episode, “Good News About Hell,” is nominated for Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Contemporary Program (One Hour Or More).

° The pilot episode of “Schmigadoon!” and the “Ted Lasso” episode, “Beard After Hours,” are nominated for “Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Program (Half-Hour).”

° The cast of “Ted Lasso” are nominated for “Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series.”

° The cast of “Severance” are nominated for “Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series.”

° “Schmigadoon!” is nominated for “Outstanding Choreography for Scripting Programming.”
