Apple rolls out watchOS 8.7 with bug fixes, and performance tweaks

Macworld is reporting that Apple’s watchOS 8.8.2 update is causing significant problems including app installation failures, random crashes, and battery drain issues.

Apple has released watchOS 8.7 with bug fixes and performant tweaks, but no major new features.

WatchOS 8.7 can be downloaded for free through the dedicated Apple Watch app on the iPhone by going to General > Software Update. To install the new software, the Apple Watch needs to have at least 50% battery, it needs to be placed on a charger, and it needs to be in range of the ‌‌‌‌iPhone‌‌‌‌.
