Apple manufacturer Foxconn freezes hiring of assembly line workers due to COVID outbreak

China-based Foxconn, the world’s largest electronics contract manufacturer and one of Apple’s main suppliers, has frozen the hiring of new assembly line workers in Zhengzhou until further notice, reports The South China Morning Post.

Zhengzhou, which recorded four new COVID-19 cases and 10 new asymptomatic carriers, has imposed a citywide lockdown from until next Tuesday.

During this period, employees of government organizations and companies in the city’s main districts will work from home, school lessons will move online, and people will only be allowed to leave and enter Zhengzhou under “necessary” circumstances, reports the SCMP.

With pressure to produce plenty of upcoming iPhone 14 smartphones, earlier this week Foxconn said it planned to increase the cash bonus offered to new recruits to 8,500 yuan (about US$1,286), up from the previous 6,500 yuan, at its Zhengzhou operation, according to Taiwanese newspaper Economic Daily News.

  • The Covid has influenced all spheres and a lot of people who wanted to get the job at Apple Manufacture. As a student, I was not able to complete my practice. That’s why in order to complete my report, I used the help from professional writers. At this site https://papersbattle.com/best-legit-essay-writing-services/ I have found the full info about services that offer their assistance for students. I still hope to become the trainee at Foxconn and build a brilliant career.
