As noted by MacRumors, an unreleased Mac mini has been spotted within code of the latest Studio Display firmware. An updated version of the small Mac is almost certainly coming this year.
It’s likely to be announced at Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference in June. Apple analyst Ming Chi-Kuo thinks the upcoming Mac mini will maintain the same form factor as the current model.
However, he’s not anticipating its arrival before 2023. The Sellers Research Group (that’s me) thinks we’ll see a revamped model with M1 Pro and M1 Max processor options before year’s end.
