Rumor: 14-inch MacBook Pro with M2 chip, new MacBook Air due in the second half of 2022

The upcoming M4 14-inch MacBook Pro may be capable of supporting up to two external displays with the lid open.

Apple leaker Dylan tweets that we’ll see a 14-inch, M2-equipped MacBook Pro in the second half of the year. He adds that will also be the time frame in which a revamped MacBook Air will be unveiled.

He has this to say: The currently available M1 MacBook Pro 13 will be replaced with a MacBook Pro 14 with an M2 chip in the 2H of 2022. It will receive a slight price increase over the previous generation. Alongside this release time frame, we will receive the redesigned M2 MacBook (Air).

The Sellers Research Group (that’s me) thinks Dylan is correct that a 14-inch MacBook Pro will replace the current 13-inch model. However, I think we’ll see the new MacBook Air roll out this spring.
