Ever need to print a message from your iPhone? Most of us have.
For instance, folks engaged in a lawsuit may need to print their iPhone messages and use them in court as evidence. Or messages on your smartphone may be needed to keep a paper trail of important communications.
Ways of printing iPhone messages
Method 1: Using Screen Capture
You can use the iPhone’s own Screen Capture tool to take a screenshot of Messages. Open the Messages app and tap the conversation you’d like to print. Then take the proceeding steps depending on your iPhone model.
On an iPhone 13 and other models with Face ID:
° Press the side button and the volume up button at the same time.
° Quickly release both buttons.
° After you take a screenshot, a thumbnail temporarily appears in the lower-left corner of your screen. Tap the thumbnail to open it or swipe left to dismiss it.
On iPhone models with Touch ID and a side button:
° Press the side button and the Home button at the same time.
° Quickly release both buttons.
° After you take a screenshot, a thumbnail temporarily appears in the lower-left corner of your screen. Tap the thumbnail to open it or swipe left to dismiss it.
On iPhone models with Touch ID and a top button:
° Press the top button and the Home button at the same time.
° Quickly release both buttons.
° After you take a screenshot, a thumbnail temporarily appears in the lower-left corner of your screen. Tap the thumbnail to open it or swipe left to dismiss it.
To view the screenshots, open Photos, then go to Albums > Screenshots. Now:
° Tap one of the images you’d like to print.
° Tap the Share icon.
° Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Print.
° Designate how many copies you’d like to print with the plus and minus buttons.
° Now tap Select Printer.
° Tap the printer you’d like to use.
° Tap Print.
There are some disadvantages of using Screen Capture to print messages. It’s troublesome and inconvenient if there are lots of messages to print since it’s hard to capture a long dialogue. Also, it’s bothersome if you need to check the order after printing if multiple screenshots are taken.

Another, better option is to use AnyTrans, a utility that handles nearly all types of iPhone data. With it, users can select and print any message and thread they want with a single click.
AnyTrans can not only handle and print messages in iPhone, but also the messages users save on an iPad, iPod touch, and even an iTunes backup . All data — including date, time, images, and stickers — will be retained in the printed paper. To print message form an iPhone with AnyTrans:

In the same window, you will find a note at the bottom, says: “You Haven’t backed up your device on this computer. Please click the button below to create a full backup. Back Up Now.” Click on “Back Up Now”, then you will see all the messages on your iPhone after this process finishes.
