Apple has updated macOS Monterey, iOS, iPad OS, tvOS, watchOS, and the HomePod firmware.
macOS 12.2
macOS 12.2 provides a security fix for Safari, improved scrolling in Safari for the new MacBook Pro, and a new native Apple Music app.
You can obtain the update by going to Software Update > Software Update.
iOS 15.3 and iPadOS 15.3
iOS 15.3 and iPadOS 15.3 include bug fixes and security updates for the iPhone and iPad.
The iOS 15.3 and iPadOS 15.3 updates are available on all eligible devices over-the-air in the Settings app. To access the new software, go to Settings > General > Software Update on your iPhone or iPad.
watchOS 8.4
watchOS 8.4 fixes a bug that could cause some Apple Watch chargers not to work as expected with the Apple Watch.
watchOS 8.4 can be downloaded for free through the dedicated Apple Watch app on the iPhone by going to General > Software Update. To install the new software, the Apple Watch needs to have at least 50% battery, it needs to be placed on a charger, and it needs to be in range of the iPhone.
tvOS 15.3
tvOS 15.3 adds Siri voice recognition support for up to six users in a home in English (India) and Italian (Italy). This update also includes performance and stability improvements.
can be downloaded over the air through the Settings app on the Apple TV by going to System > Software Update. If you have an Apple TV and have automatic software updates enabled, it should upgrade automatically.
HomePod 15.3
As with iOS 15.3, the HomePod 15.3 software is a minor update that focuses on bug fixes rather than new features. According to Apple’s release notes, the update adds Siri voice recognition support for up to six users in a home in English (India) and Italian (Italy). It also includes performance and stability improvements.
Your HomePod and HomePod mini should automatically update. If not:
- Make sure that your iOS device is updated to the latest version of iOS.
- On your iOS device, open the Home app and tap the house icon in the upper-left corner.
- Tap Software Update.
- Tap Install. This will install the update on all of your HomePod speakers you have set up in your home.
