Mini-reviews of the MagArm, MagPod, and MagLoop

STM Goods has announced a new line of MagSafe accessories. All are impressive. Let’s have a look.

I’m always happy to run across a product that’s really different. And the $49.99 MagArm fits the bill. It’s a laptop accessory that attaches to the back of your Mac’s screen (desktop or laptop), creating an instant phone holder. The wirelesss charging puck can be titled upward and downward, so you can adjust the angle to your needs.

The MagArm is light and made of silicon. Its hinge-and-twist suction attachment system provides quick attachment, adjustment, and detachment. I’m just a little concerned that repeated use might leave scratches on my Mac.

The $49.99 MagPod is a collapsible mini tripod that ensures your phone is in view and accessible at all times. It also doubles as a handle for selfies or videos.

Videos I’m into; selfies I’m not. However, the MagPod is a fine companion for my iPhone 13 Pro Max and its incredible camera/videocamera features.

The $29.99 MagLoop is probably the STM iPhone accessory I use the least, but it’s still handy.. It’s a 3-in-1 accessory with a finger loop designed to make an iPhone easier to hold. My MagCrush case is grippy enough that I don’t need it. However, the MagLoop can be helpful when you’re using the iPhone one-handed. Or if need a little help stabilizing your shot before taking a pic.

What’s more, a swing-out kickstand allows you to prop the smartphone up on a desk phone up on a desk. Finally, the MagLoop even has a built-in bottle opener. No, really.
