Review: Casetic cases are fun and colorful (perhaps too colorful for some)

Sure, the iPhone 13 will almost certainly debut at tomorrow’s “California Streaming” event, but there are still plenty of decent cases for the iPhone 12 line-up, such as those from Casetic

The cases are a little too colorful for a simple man like me, but folks who like bright cases will love ‘em. Names like “Girly Heart Bracelet” and “Natural Scenery” should clue you in on whether you’ll like the cases or not.

The Casetic designers say they get their design inspiration from “natural elements, philosophical principles, and emotions.” Pricing ranges from US$29.99 to $39.99. Alas, the cases aren’t MagSafe compatible.

(Apple says that MagSafe “improves wireless charging for a better, more efficient experience and introduces an ecosystem of easy-to-attach accessories that beautifully complement iPhone 12 Pro models.” It features an array of magnets around the wireless charging coil that connect to the iPhone  and provide up to 15W of power while still accommodating existing Qi-enabled devices.)

The cases seem to be durable enough. There’s nothing particularly outstanding about their design expect for the myriad of fun, colorful options. But, for some folks, that will be enough.
