Notable apps and updates: August 19

Apple has released Safari Technology Preview 208.

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

macOS

Apple has updated the Safari Technology Preview. The upgrade includes bug fixes and performance improvements for Web Inspector, CSS, JavaScript, Media, Web API, and IndexedDB.

Safari Technology Preview offers a sneak peek at upcoming web technologies in macOS and iOS. You can experiment with these technologies in your websites and extensions. Safari Technology Preview is a standalone app that works side-by-side with the current version of Safari, so you can continue to use and reference the current release.

Zevrix Solutions has released Output Factory Server 3.0.25, a maintenance update to the company’s output automation solution for Adobe InDesign.

Output Factory Server automates printing and exporting from InDesign through hot folders processing, which enables companies to serve unlimited users on a network with a single software installation. Version 3.0.25 addresses an issue of incorrect preflight results interpretation on international versions of InDesign.

Output Factory Server with built-in LinkOptimizer Server can be purchased from the Zevrix website for $699.95. A demo is available for download. The update is free for the licensed users of Output Factory Server 3 and $350 for the users of earlier Output Factory Server versions and BatchOutput Server. Output Factory Server requires macOS 10.12 or later and Adobe InDesign CC 2018-2021.
