° From TechCrunch: Apple Privacy head Erik Neuenschwander addresses concerns about its new systems to detect CSAM.

° From MacRumors: To alleviate a severe blood shortage, the American Red Cross has teamed up with Apple to offer a 4-month Apple Music trial to those who donate blood, platelets, or plasma during the month of August.

° From Ata Distance: Two of the last big three Apple Pay Japan holdouts are finally coming later this year: AEON announced WAON and Seven & i Holdings announced nanaco.

° From Variety: AMC Theaters is building the technology to accept Apple Pay and Google Pay by 2022. 

° From AppleInsider: Apple has removed the DOS emulator “iDOS 2” from the iOS App Store, citing guidelines against installing or running executable code that changes an app’s features or functionality.

° From DigiTimes: TSMC is on track to move its 3nm process technology to volume production in the second half of 2022 for Apple’s devices, either iPhones or Mac computers, according to industry sources.
