JOBY introduces new MagSafe accessories for compatible iPhones

JOBY has introduced new MagSafe accessories for compatible iPhones. The new JOBY GripTight system for MagSafe gives on-the-move vloggers and content creators the opportunity to use iPhone 12 and later smartphones with MagSafe tech.

The US$39.95 GripTight Mount for MagSafe comes with a hybrid clamp that works in both vertical and horizontal mode, allowing the user to instantly change from one position to another. It comes with multiple mounting points so that it can be incorporated into a rig with the $69.95 GorillaPod, as well as allowing the user to include Beamo lights and Wavo mics for a professional-level mobile unit that’s lightweight and incredibly portable.

Paired with the GorillaPod, the GripTight Mount lets any creator take full advantage of the GriptTight. And thanks to the 1⁄4 – 20” ,this mount is also compatible with most of the other JOBY supports.

With the GripTight jaws twisted back, the MagSafe magnet kicks in and allows the user to position their iPhone. When the jaws twist in, the phone is held securely. While the unit can be instantly paired with the GorillaPod® for versatile positioning, it can also be used with the $24.95 wall mount that allows the user to go hands free.

JOBY has also introduced the $19.95 Vert, 3K plate technology designed to work with the company’s BallHead 3K and GorillaPod 3K Kits. It includes a universal 1⁄4-20” mount to fit any tripod plate or head.  The Vert offers the ability to add extra LED or mic with the built-in Cold Shoe Mount.

According to the folks at JOBY, it was built to take the latest compact mirrorless hardware and can cope with up to 6.6 pounds of weight with no loss of stability. Because of its compatibility with so many quality creation products and the universal fit design of the mount, the Vert provides both vertical and horizontal mounting for a variety of set-ups, as well as connectivity with other tripods and heads.
