° Apple and Goldman Sachs are teaming up for a “buy now, pay later” service to rival Affirm, according to Bloomberg.

° Mastercard and Verizon have announced a new partnership focused on 5G contactless payments for consumers as well as small- and medium-sized businesses. The plans could involve 5G iPhones.

° Jon Stewart’s return will be filmed in front of a live audience. Episodes of the Apple TV+ series will be recorded in New York on July 14 and 16.

° Cyndi Lauper and Aimee Mann have written songs for the Apple TV+ series, “Central Park.”

° Anne Hathaway and America Ferrera have been spotted filming on the set of their Apple TV+ miniseries, “WeCrashed,” in New York City.

° According to CNN Business, Google must pay a $592 million fine over its failure to comply with French antitrust regulators’ demands.

° Opensignal has released an updated quarterly report on the state of 5G in the US. This time around, the findings include T-Mobile winning again for 5G availability, download/upload speeds, and more.

° The Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC) has announced that its CCC Digital Key Release 3.0 specification is finalized and now available to CCC members. The new specification enables passive keyless access and engine start from a compatible mobile device via Ultra Wideband (UWB) in combination with Bluetooth Low Energy wireless technologies. It’s available to CCC members such as Apple.
