iMyFone D-Back makes it easy to recover deleted iPhone data

Oops. You’ve accidentally deleted data on your iPhone. Now it’s gone forever, right? Nope. You can recover it with iMyFone D-Back, which is available for both macOS and Windows.

It supports the restoration of data from an iCloud back-up. You can extract the data and view it on a PC.

About iMyFone D-Back

Actually, “deleted data” isn’t actually deleted. You can still get it back. However, the longer it’s been since you deleted it, the harder it will be to recover it. Still, iMyFone D-Back will help you recover most of your data most of the time. It can be a lifesaver in such situations as:

° Accidentally deleting photos or messages — and then discovering they’re NOT in the Recently Deleted folder;

° Accidentally performing a factory reset to find your data is gone;

° Upgrading to a new version of iOS, or restoring a version of iOS — only to find your personal info has vanished;

° Some WhatsApp messages or documents go missing;

° Your iPhone is broken or stolen.

iMyFone D-Back can recover a variety of data files on an iOS device such as photos and videos. It can even recover third-party app data, such as WhatsApp chats and attachments, Kik data, Viber chats, and more.

You can preview deleted content before the recovery process. This allows you to recover only the data that you want to recover. You can even do a selective recovery of data; this doesn’t overwrite your existing data.

If your iPhone has been lost or stolen, iMyFone D-Back will, of course, only be able to restore data if you have some sort of backup. However, in such cases, it has a few more features for getting data back than, for instance, iTunes. And if you smartphone has been damaged, iMyFone D-Back can often recover data even if your phone isn’t functional.

Features of the product

iMyFone D-Back offers three recovery modes. One is recovering data from an iOS device. To use this feature, launch the software and choose the “Recover from iOS Device” module. Connect your iPhone to your computer.

As soon as the program successfully detects your iDevice, click “Next” to proceed. Select the types of files you wish to recover. After that, click “Scan.” iMyFone D-Back will begin looking for the deleted data from your device.

Another recovery mode is recovering data from an iTunes back-up. Choose the “Recover form iTunes Backup” module. Then choose the exact iTunes back-up from which you next to recover data, and click “Next.”

If you choose an encrypted iTunes back-up, you’ll need to enter the password for iTunes encryption. (D-Back supports scanning the iTunes back-ups that you’ve made through other programs on your current computer. These types of data can also be recovered).

Select the file types you need and click the “Scan” button. Scanning may take a little time. The search results will show up in the D-Back interface. You can browse them according to your needs.

A third mode allows you to recover data from iCloud. Actually, there are two options regarding this. One is to recover data from your iCloud account; the other is recovering from an iCloud back-up.

If you’ve enabled iCloud, and signed into your iCloud account on an iOS device, your data will be automatically synced to iCloud Kit. Or you may have manually backed up your data to iCloud.

To recover data from an iCloud account, log into iCloud. Choose “iCloud” from the “Recover from iCloud” module. Fill in your account details (and note that iMyFone doesn’t keep a record of your iCloud account info or content). If you choose to recover from an iCloud back-up, log into your iCloud account and choose “iCloud Backup.” Follow the software instruction step by step, then you will get your data back easily.

You can choose “Show only the deleted files” and select the ones you need. Click “Recover.”

You’ll need two select or create a folder as the recovery path. iMyFone D-Back will recover the data to the folder. You can check it after finishing the recovery process.

Pricing and compatibility

A free demo of iMyFone D-Back is available for download. Registration is US$39.95/month, $49.95/year, or $69.95 for a lifetime license. The main difference between the free trial version and the full version is the free trial version will only allow you to scan the iOS device to preview the lost data. With the full version, you can fully use all features of iMyFone D-back.

The software is compatible with macOS and Windows. You don’t install iMyFone D-Back on your iPhone. It’s a desktop/laptop app.
