WaterField introduces the Packable Backpack

It’s the first of four community-designed travel bags

WaterField kicks off its Packable Bag Month with the first of four community-designed packable travel bags: the Packable Backpack

Over 1,000 survey participants asked for an ultralight, comfortable, packable bag that folds down small, feels substantial enough to use every day, and doesn’t look like a packable bag. According to the folks at WaterField, the WaterField Packable Backpack’s custom composite textile is:

° Ultralight yet substantial;

° Water-resistant but breathable;

° Sleek and unwrinkled even after it has been folded or compressed. At just 12 ounces, the backpack packs into its own pocket.

An interior zippered pocket for valuables doubles as the bag’s stuff sack. Additional organization includes two water-bottle pockets and a secure zippered front pocket with a sewn-in key fob. A diamond-patterned, silver ripstop nylon liner illuminates the bag’s interior.

Ergonomic straps are lightly padded with moisture-wicking mesh.Matte black metal zipper pulls can be locked for extra security. Reinforced stitching at stress points bolsters longevity.

The Packable Backpack is available in black, olive, Burgundy, and khaki. It costs US$129. You can order now; it ships June 18.
