The Smartmi P1 is a great HomeKit compatible air purifier/pollen filter

I love living in Nashville, Tennessee, but the Volunteer State can be heck on allergies. As an allergy sufferer — and one who suffers from dry eye syndrome — I appreciate the Smartmi P1 air purifier.

I’m running it in my home office. With powerful purification capabilities, including an enhanced HEPA Filtration Technology, the P1 can cleanse 200 square feet in 10 minutes. It can purportedly trap particles as small as 80 nanos compared to 300 nanos from other HEPA filters, blocking 99.97% of particles that pass through its filter. I can’t verify this, but I’ll take the Smartmi P1 makers at their word.

Another great feature for folks like me: the P1 is also equipped with dual laser particle sensors that detect both pollen and PM2.5, bringing relief to allergy sufferers. Thanks to the 360° air inlet and a top air outlet, Smartmi P1 absorbs pollutants and blasts clean fresh air to every corner of the room with 150 ft3/min CADR. CADR (clean air delivery rate) tell you how much clean air comes out of your unit after being filtered and at what room size the air cleaner is most effective in. The Smartmi P1 can cleanse 180 square feet in 10 minutes and 320 square feet. in 20 minutes.

It does all this by operating as quiet as 19dc thanks to its brushless DC mother and advanced wind tunnel system. I appreciate the relative silence as I use the P1 in the room where I often have music playing as I work.

If I want to move the air purifier to another room, no problem. It has a sleek design and a handle that makes it easy to carry.

The Smart P1 works with Apple’s HomeKit, as well as Amazon’s Alexa and Google Home. To link an Apple device (an iPhone is the most logical choice), you scan the QR code on the air purifier or search for “Smart Link” on the Apple App Store and follow the directions.

Using Smartmi P1’s dedicated app, you can receive a comprehensive analysis of the current air quality in your home. The P1 uses that data to adjust the fan speed automatically with Auto Mode.

Also, there’s a LED screen display on the top of the device. The screen display is used to control and get info about the device’s current state. It contains indicators and touch buttons

Smartmi is offering a promotion of 25% off with the code ‘ILOVEUMOM”, valid from May 3rd to May 29th. With the P1 starting at $179.99 onAmazon.com, for this limited time offer the P1 is going for $134.99, plus the first 1,000 buyers will receive a free Smartmi suitcase. Just submit your Amazon order through this link to redeem.

Replacement filters start from $39.99 and last six to 12 months. You can choose between two filters based on your air quality needs. The Pollen Crusher is a certified H13 True HEPA filter that traps harmful particulate matter and allergens like pollen. The Odor Absorber focuses on making the home smell fresh, eliminating household odors and harmful chemicals using a combination of the H13 True HEPA filter and a carbon-infused filter.
