On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.
macOS
Letter Opener has updated Versions, its Subversion client, to version 2.0. (Subversion is an open-source system that remembers every change made to your files and directories.)
The upgrade sports the first user interface update in 10 years. It also adds full support for macOS Big Sur and M1 Macs.
Versions 2.0 requires macOS 10.15 or later. It retails for US$119; upgrades for existing Versions customers is $59.
° Tim Parnell has announced new features for Lifeboat, the server management software designed to make it simple to deploy and manage Xojo Web applications on any Linux server.
Users can automate configuration and let Lifeboat juggle port assignments, system services, and reverse proxy software for running a web app server. This latest version configures redirects, handles www. prefixes automatically, and introduces Ubuntu 21.04 support.
You can download and evaluate Lifeboat for free. For evaluation Lifeboat will configure one server, one web application, and one static files directory. A license is required to unlock these limits.
Adobe Audition now runs natively on M1 Macs.
The app allows you to mix, edit, and create audio content in Adobe Audition with a comprehensive toolset that includes multitrack, waveform, and spectral display. You can demo it for free.
iOS
Hutch has unveiled the rebrand of F1 Clash, previously F1 Manager, alongside a new competitive season.
Available on iOS and Android, it introduces a host of upgrades and new content, alongside the official 2021 drivers and teams. With 12 new series, and 48 brand new components, F1 Clash expands team manager’s strategic choices.
It’s free but does offer in-app purchases. F1 Clash requires iOS 11 or later.
