Notable apps and updates: May 10

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

macOS

VeprIT has announced Photo Sense 3 for macOS. Previously an automatic photo enhancement app, with the new version, Photo Sense becomes a full photography workflow tool for enthusiast photographers, according to the folks at VeprIT.

The app is designed to allow users to quickly select the best photos in a shoot, adjust them if required, save results non-destructively, and export with advanced options. Photo Sense 3 supports direct access to the Photos Library (so can sync user adjustments via cloud), supports RAW processing, and offers tools for portrait photography.

Photo Sense 3 requires macOS 10.15 or later. It’s available at the Mac App Store. It is a free trial download, with in-app subscriptions: monthly at US$4.99 or annually at $29.99.

Apple has  updated Safari Technology Preview, which offers a sneak peek at upcoming web technologies in macOS and iOS.

You can experiment with these technologies in your websites and extensions. Safari Technology Preview is a standalone app that works side-by-side with the current version of Safari, so you can continue to use and reference the current release.

Full release notes for the update are available on the Safari Technology Preview website.
