‘Mosquito Coast,’ ‘For All Mankind’ in the top 10 most-watched TV shows on streaming services

Apple TV+’s new series, The Mosquito Coast, immediately ranked 6th in Reelgood’s Top 10 list of the most-watched TV shows across all streaming services for the week of April 28 to May 4, 2021. Apple’s “For All Mankind” ranked 10th. Reelgood is an U.S. movie and TV streaming search engine.

The top 10 TV shows across all streaming services for April 28 to May 4 were: “Shadow and Bone,” “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “Mare of Eastown,” “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” “Invincible,” “The Mosquito Coast,” “The Innocent,” “Cruel Summer,” “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba,” and “For All Mankind”

Here’s a summary of the 10-episode, first season of  “The Mosquito Coast”: “The Mosquito Coast” follows brilliant inventor Allie Fox as he flees America to create a utopian society in Honduras, but he has unknowingly led his family into unimaginable danger. It stars Justin Theroux as Fox; the series is based on the novel of the same name by Justin’s uncle, Paul Theroux. It will debut on Apple TV+ on April 30. Pictured are Justin Theroux, Melissa George, Logan Polish and Gabriel Bateman, the cast of “The Mosquito Coast.”

Here’s a summary of the 10-episode second season of “For All Mankind” (all 10 episodes are now online): Season two of the space drama picks up a decade later in 1983. It’s the height of the Cold War and tensions between the United States and the USSR are at their peak. Ronald Reagan is president and the greater ambitions of science and space exploration are at threat of being squandered as the U.S. and Soviets go head-to-head to control sites rich in resources on the moon. The Department of Defense has moved into Mission Control, and the militarization of NASA becomes central to several characters’ stories: some fight it, some use it as an opportunity to advance their own interests, and some find themselves at the height of a conflict that may lead to nuclear war.
