° The Arizona House of Representatives has passed HB2005, a state bill that would provide developers with an alternative to Apple and Google’s in-app purchase options by allowing developers to use their own payment solutions within apps.

° According to a Vice report, (then) Apple Senior Vice President Scott Forstall quietly encouraged Pandora execs to “jailbreak some iPhones and use the kind of back door toolkits that were being distributed by other people to build a native Pandora app while we get our act together at Apple on something more formal.”

° In a note to clients — as noted by AppleInsider — Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty says iPhone shipments are are estimated to have grown by 150% year-over-year in China in January.

° The upcoming iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max will pack an improved ultra-wide lens thanks to the addition of sensor-shift image stabilization and autofocus, according to DigiTimes.

° Images supposedly depicting a third-generation Apple Pencil have been shared on Twitter by the leaker known as “Mr. White.”

° The 8-Bitreports that the Australian government has approved ECG functionality on the Apple Watch, which means Apple can roll out the feature for Apple Watch users in the country, according to a regulatory document.

° As noted by 9to5Mac, YouTube will soon require AirPlay for video playback on older Apple TV streaming boxes. This means users will need to start video playback on another device like an iPhone or iPad to view content on the Apple TV.
