Apple debuts Apple Podcasts Spotlight; first up ‘Celebrity Book Club’

Apple has debuted Apple Podcasts Spotlight, a new monthly editorial franchise that “elevates singular voices in podcasting to new listeners.”

The initial offering is Stitcher’s “Celebrity Book Club,” a podcast by comedian and filmmaker Chelsea Devantez, a Stitcher podcast. Each week Devantez is joined by special guests to “recap and celebrate the memoirs of badass celebrity womxn who have been torn down by tabloids and dissected by social media — all while facing career obstacles, broken relationships, and incredible triumphs.”
