Though not necessarily among the top possibilities, Italian media cited other names including Apple Chief Financial Office Luca Maestri and Apple former chief design officer Jony Ive as possible candidates.
Maestri (born October 14, 1963) is an Italian businessman. He is the senior vice president and chief financial officer at Apple. Ive (born February 27, 1967) is a British-American industrial, product and architectural designer. Ive was Chief Design Officer (CDO) of Apple and serves as Chancellor of the Royal College of Art. In 2019, he started his independent design firm, LoveFrom, along with fellow Apple industrial designer Marc Newson.
