Luca Maestri, Jony Ive possible candidates for Ferrari CEO position

After 2.5 years on the job, Ferrari CEO Louis Camilleri has retired immediately, citing personal reasons. Chairman John Elkann, the scion of Italy’s Agnelli family, will lead the company on an interim basis while a permanent successor is found, reports Reuters.

And one current Apple exec and a former one are on the list of possible candidates the article adds. Though not necessarily among the top possibilities, Italian media cited other names including Apple Chief Financial Office Luca Maestri and Apple former chief design officer Jony Ive as possible candidates.

Maestri (born October 14, 1963) is an Italian businessman. He is the senior vice president and chief financial officer at Apple. Ive (born February 27, 1967) is a British-American industrial, product and architectural designer. Ive was Chief Design Officer (CDO) of Apple and serves as Chancellor of the Royal College of Art. In 2019, he started his independent design firm, LoveFrom, along with fellow Apple industrial designer Marc Newson.
