Google wants Epic’s lawsuit against it and Apple to be split up

Google is pushing back against a California federal judge’s query into whether Epic Games’ lawsuits against Google and Apple over their respective in-device app distribution systems should be combined with several proposed class actions against the tech giants, reports Law360 (a subscription is required to read the entire article).

Google wants the lawsuits against its Google Play store and the Apple App Store kept separate. Epic Games is suing the two tech giants for removing its Fortnite game from their app stores after the gaming company was accused of violating the stores’ rules.

Epic is suing both companies. As of now, Fortnite isn’t available for iOS or Android devices.
