Nimble introduces iPhone case made from recycled compact discs

Nimble — a company that makes “ethically-made personal tech” — has announced Disc Case, which it says is the first protective case for iPhone made from recycled compacts discs.

“Think about how many CDs, DVDs, and software discs are no longer being used,” says Ross Howe, Nimble Co-Founder and CEO. “Facing obsolescence, most go to landfills or incineration, creating a massive stream of toxic waste and pollution. We’re continuing to demonstrate how recycled materials in new products are essential to achieve a more sustainable future.”

He adds that the Disc Case has been drop tested up to six feet, is scratch resistant, is anti-yellowing, and is wireless charging compatible It’s also recyclable, and comes in 100% plastic-free packaging. When the case is no longer needed, Nimble will recycle it for free through it’s One-for-One Tech Recovery Project.

The Disc Case is available for the iPhone SE (second generation), iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max at VerizonWireless.com and GoNimble.com for US$39.95.
