TechClean wipes are a timely product for these pandemic times

Gadget Guard‘s TechClean is a package of 100% plant-based wipes moistened with a sodium laureth sulfate solution (10% sodium laureth sulfate — ie, soap — and 90% water) which means you can clean any electronic device without causing damage. With the COVID-19 pandemic still in full swing, it’s a product you may wish to check out — though it’s on the pricey side.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say cleaning with soap and water is more effective than using hand sanitizers. In fact, soap and water are recommended as the most effective and safe way to clean germs from smartphones.

Unlike alcohol-based cleaners, TechClean is a soap-based wipe so it’s safer for use on laptops, desktops, tablets, smartphones, and TVs for removing bacteria and viruses.  Of course, you can also use it clean door handles, steering wheels, and even your hands since it’s skin friendly.i

TechClean is available online or at retailers in 20 count pouches for US$9.99 and 60 count canisters for $19.99. And that’s the rub: you can go through 20 or even 60 wipes quickly, so the cost of keeping a supply of TechClean adds up.

It’s up to you to determine if the price is worth the protection.
