elago‘s new AirPods Pro case, the Armor Pro Case, is a no-frills case that protects Apple’s hearables at a low price. Elago recently dropped 24% off the original price and also has 5% extra saving coupons as a promotion. You can get one for US$13.99 at Amazon.
The Armor Pro Case — made for the AirPod Pro and not the “non-pro” AirPods — is made of silicon, so it’s durable and rugged. Its textured grip design will prevent the case and its contents from slipping easily from your hand.
The Armor Pro Case also protects against fingerprints and scratches. And it’s easy to clean; just use use a paper towel to remove dust or dirt.
A nice feature of the elago case is that you don’t have to remove the AirPods Pro to wirelessly charge them. A LED on the front of the Armor Pro shows the charging status. The case also comes with a metal carabiner, so you can clip it onto a belt, purse, or backpack.
My favorite AirPods Pro case is still the gorgeously designed AirSnap Pro from Twelve South. However, at US$39.99, it’s a bit of a luxury item. The Armor Pro Case doesn’t look as good, but it offers the same advantages at less than half the price.
