Apple Maps gets more Hong Kong support; Apple Pay October launches in region

As noted by MacRumors, Apple has updated its Maps app to include real time transit directions and data for Hong Kong residents. Users can search for metro train stations, bus routes and ferry piers, and get real time transit information for services. The only limitation appears to be a lack of indoor station mapping.

Also, Apple Pay Octopus has launched in Hong Kong. The Octopus card is a reusable contactless stored value smart card for making electronic payments in online or offline systems in Hong Kong. Users can add their Octopus to Apple Wallet, making it easier than ever to ride trains, buses, and ferries, and shop.
