Quality handcrafting and beautiful materials are always the hallmark of Pad & Quill’s Apple gear, and the two iPhone 11 Pro Max cases the we’re looking at today are perfect examples. Today’s review covers the $39.95 Aspen Wood Case and the gorgeous Luxury Book Wallet Case ($109.95). Read on to see our review of the two cases and then enter our giveaway of both cash to one lucky reader!
Pad & Quill Aspen Wood Case for iPhone 11 Pro Max
I’ll start off today with the affordable, classy and protective Aspen Wood Case for iPhone 11 Pro Max. At $39.95, the Aspen Wood Case is very reasonably priced, and features FSC certified American Walnut on the back.
The wood veneer gives the case a beautiful look, while the polycarbonate shell provides up to 2 meters (6.56 feet) of drop protection. Designed with a 1 mm lip to protect the front screen, the Aspen Wood Case offers very good protection at a bargain price. By the way, each of these cases is one-of-a-kind, as the veneer pattern changes with each case made.
I found the Aspen Wood Case to be easy to install and remove, making it perfect for those who need to change cases often for various reasons. The case works well with wireless charging, and I appreciated the way that the polycarbonate case channels sound from the speakers on the iPhone to the front.

Pad & Quill Luxury Book Wallet Case for iPhone 11 Pro Max
If you’re the kind of person who doesn’t want to carry both an iPhone and a wallet, then the Luxury Book Wallet Case is for you. The case is wrapped in full-grain American leather in either black or brown, and it uses a Baltic Birch wooden cradle to hold the iPhone in place.
The wallet side has room for four to six credit cards and an ID card, with a matte plastic window for the ID. There’s also a place to slip cash! The iPhone side? That wooden cradle has cutouts at the bottom (charging and speakers), left side (volume up/down and orientation lock switches), and right side (power/sleep button). There’s also a large cutout window on the back for the triple lenses of the iPhone 11 Pro Max camera.
The reports say, “based on its 5G product roadmaps, Apple is expected to launch new iOS devices, including iPhones and iPads, incorporating both sub-6GHz and mmWave specs probably in September, which will significantly drive up demand for 5nm A14.”
The Sellers Research Group (that’s me) normally views DigiTimes reports with skepticism due to their spotty track record, and I was expected new iPad Pros this spring. However, it does make sense for Apple to hold off introducing 5G tablets until 5G iPhones debut.
