Apple accepting user donations to aid in Australian bushfire relief

Apple is accepting donations from users that will be used to help with the bushfires raging in Australia. The tech giant has updated its U.S. and Australian websites with an option to donate money to help with the bushfire relief efforts in Australia.

Click on the “Donate to Australian Bushfire Relief” banner and you’re directed to the the Music app on a Mac or the iTunes Store one on an iPhone or iPad. You can then select from a series of donation options. Donations go to the Red Cross.

Last month Apple said it would donate its own funds to relief efforts in Australia, although it didn’t specify how much. Australia has been burning since September as more than 19.8 million acres of bush, forest, and parks caught fire amid a long and deep drought.
