Rumor: Apple working with Valve game developer on the ‘Apple Glasses’

Apple working with Valve According to DigiTimes, Apple has partnered with U.S. game developer Valve to develop “Apple Glasses,” the rumored augmented reality/virtual reality head-mounted display.

The article adds that the device will debut in the second half of 2020 “at the earliest.” Taiwan’s Quanta Computer and Pegatron are handling the assembly job, according to DigiTimes.

The Apple Glasses will likely to be tethered to an iPhone. They may also include an in-house chip that’s similar in concept to the “system-on-a-package” component in the Apple Watch and a new operating system, internally dubbed “rOS” for “reality operating system.
