Glass Elite VisionGuard+ protects you and your iPhone four ways

A klutz like me needs a screen protector on his iPhone (and iPad Pro and Apple Watch….). Having one that also sports health features is even better. Enter the Glass Elite VisionGuard+ for the Apple iPhone iPhone XSXS Max and XR.

According to a TIME article, mobile devices carry ten times more bacteria than most toilet seats As my granddaughter would say, “That’s nasty!” The folks at InvisibleShield claim the Glass Elite VisionGuard + eliminates 99.99% of harmful bacteria on mobile device screens.

Can I prove it? No, but the thought that my iPhone screen is filthier than a toilet seat makes me give ‘em the benefit of the doubt.

Besides that’s not the only selling point of the glass screen protector. Apparently, it’s the only such cover that boasts ClearPrint, an oil-dispersing treatment that helps reduce all those irritating fingerprints and smudges. It doesn’t make them entirely disappear, but does make them less noticeable.

What’s more, the Glass Elite VisionGuard Eyesafe technology helps dilute the harmful effects of overexposure to blue light emitted from smartphone screens.

Finally, and for many folks, this is the most important feature: the InvisibleShield product protects your iPhone’s screen. The company claims it offers “extreme” shatter protection four times stronger than traditional glass screen protector thanks in part to its “ion exchange technology” that increases surface compression for increased strength and scratch-resistance.

I can’t vouch for the “extreme” claim, as I’m not going to try to damage my iPhone XS Max (which I paid for myself) to test it. But, so far, the Glass Elite has protected my Apple phone’s screen during several drops (as I said, I’m a klutz). What’s more, its reinforced edges prevent chipping and offer.

With all these features, the $49.99 price tag for the Glass Elite VisionGuard+ for the iPhone XS/X, XS Max, and XR seems reasonable. Also, InvisibleShield backs its screen protectors with a limited lifetime warranty and will replace one if it ever gets worn or damaged for the life of iPhone.

My main concern with the Glass Elite is, as with all such products, I have a devil of a time installing it without leaving any air bubbles. However, most folks are better at this than I am. And the screen protector comes with EZ Apply tabs, an installation tray, and even a rubber install mat so you have a slip-proof surface to work on.
