I get to test a lot of laptop backpacks, and, while most are well made, it’s hard to find one that’s a bit different. However, the $54.99 Duane Hybrid Briefcase Backpack is different because it’s a briefcase that can easily and quickly transform into a backpack.
It can hold a 12-inch, 13-inch, or 15-inch laptop in its 15.6-inch, padded laptop compartment, so it’s suitable for al MacBooks, MacBook Airs, and MacBook Pros. The Duane Hybride also has an internal pocket for storing an iPad or other tablet. /And there’s a large front pocket with an organizer section and two front “quick access” pockets.
The Duane boasts padded — and comfortable — carry handles with magnetic snaps. The shoulder strap is also comfortable and can be removed or adjusted. Plus, there are hideaway padded backpack straps for added comfort. I wish it also included a strap that could be wrapped around wheeler luggage, but it doesn’t.
The Duane is available in any color you want — as long as you want black and grey. It’s made of polyester so you can clean it with a wet cloth to maintain its spiffy look. Plus, it has a five-year warranty.
