macOS
Celebrating its 15th anniversary, Ergonis Software has released KeyCue 9.3, an update to the company’s keyboard shortcut and emoji tool for macOS.
It presents frequently used elements on cue, such as keyboard shortcuts, local files and folders, and URL collections. Since version 9, KeyCue can also be used for discovering and using the constantly growing number of emojis.
KeyCue 9.3 requires macOS 10.7 or later. You can save 50% off the regular price ($22) when ordering KeyCue during May. Version 9.3 is a free upgrade for anyone who purchased a license for KeyCue 8 or KeyCue 9 on or after Oct. 1, 2017. Upgrade paths are available for owners of older licenses. All KeyCue 9 purchases (new and upgrades alike) include all subsequent 9.x upgrades at no additional cost. Cisdem has upgraded Cisdem Video Converter, a video conversion tool for macOS, to version 4.0. The upgrade sports a revamped interface.
It also refines the output profile and adds support for more devices. Cisdem Video Converter 4.0 requires macOS 10.10 or higher and costs $49.99 for a single user, lifetime license. A demo is available for download.
Electronic Team has unveiled JustPlay 1.1, an upgrade of their video and audio player for macOS.
Boasting a variety of convenient settings for both audio and video files, and advanced subtitles support, JustPlay supports most file formats, including MP4, AVI, MOV, SWF, DAT, MKV, MP3, FLAC, M4V, FLV and Blu-ray.Thanks to its hardware accelerated decoding, JustPlay purportedly allows you to watch HD and Ultra HD videos without any slowdowns or delays.

St. Clair Software has announced Default Folder X 5.3.7, an upgrade to the utility for macOS. The utility enhances the file dialogs in all Mac apps.
It provides fast navigation to your files, convenient previews, integrated Spotlight tagging, and more. Default Folder X’s custom keyboard shortcuts put your favorite and recent folders at your fingertips.Version 5.3.7 improves support for LaunchBar and tabbed Finder windows, displays additional metadata and more.
Default Folder X 5.3.7 is a free upgrade for registered users for version 5.x. New licenses are $34.95; upgrades from version 4 and prior are $14.95.
Smile has released PDFpen and PDFpenPro 11, an update of its PDF editing tool for the Mac. It allows users to add signatures, text, and images, make changes and correct typos, OCR scanned docs, fill out forms, and more.
You can mark up documents with highlighting, underscoring and strikethrough. Version 11 introduces split view, a new Font Bar, Continuity Camera support, and for Pro users, enhancements to interactive form creation and editing.
PDFpen and PDFpenPro 11 require macOS 10.12 or higher. PDFpen retails for $74.95, and PDFpenPro for $124.95. Family Pack licenses, which cover up to five computers in one household, are $94.95 for PDFpen and $149.95 for PDFpenPro. iOS
30 South has introduced Swift Budget, a budgeting app. Harnessing the power of MX Technologies to provide connections to 16,000 financial institutions in the U.S. and Canada, it’s a digital envelope system that syncs to your checking account and/or credit cards and allows you to track your spending.
Swift Budget allows users to have their eyes on each of their transactions, but it makes an automated guess at the correct envelope. It’s free, but does offer in-app purchases.
Southside Development has launchd its first iOS and watchOS application, WeatherGraph. It’s a weather forecasting app that presents forecast data for the U.S. a unique graphical format. It uses reliable forecast data, and observations that are only “taken only from reliable and trusted weather stations.” What’s more, WeatherGraph has an Apple Watch app with different complication styles and a Today View widget. It’s available in a free, ad-supported version and a. $2.99 ad-free version.
