Apple’s Beats brand has debuted a luxury version of its Studio3 Wireless headphones, the Neymar Jr. Custom Edition. They’re $349.95; that’s $70 more than other versions of the headphones. Also there’s no release date for them mentioned yet.
Apple is once again the world’s most valuable company in the world, hitting an $821.59 billion market cap as shares climbed to $174.24 at the end of trading.
Security researcher Linuz Henze has shared a video of what he says is a macOS Mojave exploit dubbed “KeySteal” that can access passwords stored in the Keychain. However, he’s not sharing his findings with Apple out of protest because he wants the tech giant expand its bug bounty program to cover macOS in addition to iOS.
According to MacRumors, Apple has expanded Apple Maps with transit directions for Alaska, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, North Dakota, New York, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Dakota, and Texas. Outside of the U.S., transit directions are now available in Australia.
Apple has stopped signing iOS 12.1.2 and iOS 12.1.1, so can no longer downgrade from iOS 12.1.3. The tech giant commonly stops signing older versions of operating systems to encourage users to have the latest up-to-date builds for security and stability reasons.
Some Adobe Premiere CC users are reporting that the app has an even more damaging bug – blowing the speakers in their MacBook Pros, according to 9to5Mac.
Yesterday Apple announced that its retail chief, Angela Ahrendts, is leaving the company in April, and that Deirdre O’Brien, who most recently headed up Apple HR, is taking over retail. Business Insider has obtained the internal memo Apple CEO sent to retail employees announcing the management shakeup.
Apple’s retail store in Natick, Massachusetts will reopen on Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. (local time). It’s expected to more than double the width of the previous storefront as a Forum and Video Wall are added.
