Apple adds an obstetrician-gynecologist to its growing health team

Apple has added Christine Curry (pictured), an obstetrician-gynecologist, to its growing health team, according to CNBC.

According to her LinkedIn profile, she has served as: a clinical instructor at the Boston University School of Medicine; attending physician OB/GYN at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine; an attending physician OB/GYN at Jackson Memorial Hospital; and an obstetrician at Kaiser Permanente in Redwood, California. Curry has a MD/PhD from the Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has described health care as a growing priority and a major part of Apple’s legacy. He told CNBC‘s Jim Cramer in January, “If you zoom out into the future, and you look back, and you ask the question, ‘What was Apple’s greatest contribution to mankind?’ It will be about health.”



The company has hired Apple has hired more than 50 doctors in recent years. And in February 2018, the tech giant launched a group of medical clinics called AC Wellness to deliver the “world’s best healthcare experience” to its employees and their families.
