CES: Speck previews new iPad case for kids

At this week’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Speck previewed Case-E, a new children’s case for the last five generations of 9.7-inch iPads.

It’s described as an “evolution” of Speck’s award-winning product, iGuy, designed with bright colors, sturdy but soft materials and flexible arms you can hold onto or wrap around car seats for safe viewing on the go.

The all-new Case-E features Speck’s proprietary shock barrier, providing six-foot drop protection, while the external EVA foam layer offers a soft grip. The exterior squishy layer is BPA free.

Both sides of the case offer flexible, versatile, and detachable EVA foam “arms,” stands for landscape or portrait mode, and a tie for securing the device to a vehicle’s headrest. Case-E will begin shipping later this quarter for $39.95.
