Apple Daily Report: Apple’s Maps gets turn-by-turn directions for India (and more news)

Since Steve and I can’t cover everything, at the end of each week day, we’ll offer this wrap-up of news items you should check out.

As noted by 9to5 Mac, Apple has launched support for turn-by-turn directions in Apple Maps for India. Indian iPhone customers or tourists can now get precise routing throughout the country. Apple also launched support for ride-hailing apps Uber and Ola, so you can request rides from inside of Maps using the two biggest taxi app in India.

Taiwan’s Foxconn, an Apple supplier, has reported an 8% fall in its December revenue, “ dampening its performance in 2018 amid tepid demand for electronics.”

Registered developers can download the betas via Apple’s developer portal. Or they can be downloaded over-the-air once the proper configuration profile has been installed from the Developer Center.

Apple has also released the fourth public beta of iOS 12.1.3. The public betas are available on Apple’s Beta Software Program website
