BOOKLIGHT is a fine accessory for bookworms and night owls

I love to read and hope you do, too. If you’re an avid reader, Macally’s BOOKLIGHT is a good investment at $24.99.

For example, sometimes I like to read after my wife and I have turned in for the night. The BOOKLIGHT allows me to peruse a book or magazine without disturbing Laura. It’s also convenient to use for studying, sewing, and reading music.

It’s equipped with 16 LEDs and a touch sensor with three different brightness levels (dim, medium, and bright) for an even distribution of light and comfortable reading. After all, you want a light that’s bright enough to prevent eye strain, but not so bright that it’s painful to read.

The BOOKLIGHT’s cool white temperature is perfect for dark situations such as night time reading. You can easily switch the light levels by simply pressing and tapping your finger on the sensor port.

It sports a clamp that allows you to securely clip it to a table, nightstand, headboard, shelf, desk or countertop with a thickness up to two inches (5.08 cm). It’s bendable gooseneck allows you to redirect the light as needed.

There’s no cord for plugging in the 0.30 pound BOOKLIGHT. It uses a built-in, 850mAH rechargeable battery that lasts up to 10 hours on a single charge. Plug the USB cable (included) to any USB-A port to power up the light, which takes two hours to fully charge.

I wish the BOOKLIGHT would either charge quicker or last longer on a charge. Still, it’s a useful, reasonably priced device for bookworms and night owls.
