New iPhones, a new MacBook, new iPad Pros, and the AirPower coming in September

Next month Apple will launch new iPhones, a new 13-inch MacBook, new iPad Pros, and the long-awaited AirPower charger, according to a new report from DigiTimes

The report — which doesn’t give an exact date — says the entry-level laptop will cost about $1,200 and sport Intel’s 14nm Kaby Lake processor. DigiTimes says the new iPad Pros will include “narrow bezel, ultra thin” 12.9-inch and 11-inch models, the latter taking the spot of the current 10.5-incher. The new tablets will reportedly pack a newly-designed 18W power adapter featuring USB Type-C interface for a faster charging experience.

The three new iPhones predicted are in line with previous forecasts: a 5.8-inch OLED display, one with a 6.5-inch OLED display and one with a 6.1-inch LCD display, with the latter being the most “budget friendly” of the bunch.

The Sellers Research Group (that’s me) says that DigiTimes’ predictions are on target. I also think that the price of the 12-inch MacBook will be dropped and that it will be the entry-level laptop in Apple’s line-up. I also predict that the MacBook Air and the iPad mini will be discontinued.

My final prediction: the 20th anniversary iMac will debut in October.
