Nanoleaf releases Apple HomeKit-Enabled Remote Control

Nanoleaf has released the $49.99 Nanoleaf Remote, a smart home remote control designed to let you control all of your IoT (Internet of Things) devices right from the palm of your hand. Bluetooth-enabled and Apple HomeKit-ready, the Remote lets users fully customize their entire home with a turn of the wrist, according to Nanoleaf CEO Ginny Chu.

Apple’s HomeKit is a framework that allows control of compatible home automation devices through iOS and Siri.

Featuring a dodecahedron (12-sided) design, the Nanoleaf Remote controls all third-party HomeKit products, as well as Nanoleaf Light Panels (formerly called the Aurora). You can turn on the lights, lift window blinds, and increase the temperature a notch by triggering different pre-set scenes.

You can set a different scene for each face of the Remote with the Nanoleaf Smarter Series App. Set “party time” to activate a psychedelic Rhythm Scene for your next bash, or “getting cozy” for the Fireplace Scene when you’re winding down for the day.
