Apple India plans to end its distribution agreement with HCL Infosystems next year, according to The Economic Times, citing an HCL filing. The distribution arrangement will end on March 30, 2019.
No cause was listed but Apple is reportedly working to reorganize its Indian distribution structure, according to The Economic Times. Apple and HCL entered a distribution deal last July with the latter to distribute Apple products, including the iPhone. HCL was one of five Apple distributors in India alongside Brightstar, Ingram Micro, Rashi Peripherals, and Redington.
