If you’re among those who like to review the way they’ve spent their working hours, I offered several suggestions in the Working Smarter for Mac Users eBook and online course, but I recently discovered yet another useful tool for time tracking.
It’s called Usage, and it’s a menubar app for recording and displaying your application usage. It’s free and looks like this:
I’ve been using it for a while and it seems to be about as accurate as other time tracking apps I’ve tried. Which is to say I don’t find it accurate enough to be helpful to me.
To be fair, I don’t know of a time-tracking app accurate enough to rely upon (at least in my humble opinion), so I don’t actually use a time-tracker in my worklife. But you might like it and there’s no risk—it’s free.
