On this week’s show Steve and Marty looked at a few fun things, talked about Apple’s earnings report (which was, of course, completely different and much better than what the Wall Street analysts predicted), and did a couple of demos.
Marty showed off a new platformer that looks like a ton of fun: Oddmar ($4.99), which has beautiful animation, a cinematic score, and provides lots of heart-pounding thrills — all with no in-app purchases. It’s a mythical world of Vikings — the developers aptly refer to it as “an epic Viking story animated as a motion comic.” I don’t play a lot of iOS games but this is one I’m probably going to buy.
Steve’s app of the day was Micro.blog, and he goes through a demo not only of the app, but the service as well. Micro.blog is a micro-blogging service that had a full review on Apple World Today last week, and it’s a great way to take total control of at least one aspect of your social media online.
