Notable apps and app updates for April 20, 2018

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

iOS Apps/Updates

Spiderweb Software has launched Avernum 3: Ruined World. It’s a $9.99 fantasy role-playing adventure in which players escape into an enormous world that evolves as time passes. Towns fight battles. Refugees flee. Disasters happen. You can be a merchant or bounty hunter, buy a home, save the world, and more.

macOS Apps/Updates

Gro Software has announced Gro CRM 2.1, an update of their Mac CRM software platform for small business.

The upgrade includes such new features as: business card scanning, map contact tracking for the door-to-door industry, auto history tracking for contacts, deals and tasks, financial data exports, more integrated push notification, FastMail email support and more.

Gro CRM 2.1 is available at the Mac App Store. It’s free but requires a monthly or annual subscription. Solo subscriptions are available for $14.99/seat/month, Basic subscriptions are available for $24.99D/seat/month, and Pro subscriptions are available for $49.99/seat/month. A 14-day free demo is available at the Gro CRM website.

Pomfort has released LiveGrade Pro 4, an update to its Mac app that allows users to automatically capture and edit camera metadata live during the shoot. All camera metadata combined with the creative look information can be stored automatically in LiveGrade Pro’s Shot Library. Version 4 makes live camera metadata available directly in the software and gives the production team even greater control over the live image on set.

LiveGrade Pro requires macOS 10.10 or higher. It’s available as a yearly subscription for $599 or as a project license starting from $129. It can be purchased at Pomfort’s web store. A 14-day demo is available for download.
