Apple says it will fix Siri privacy issue

In a statement provided to MacRumors, Apple says it will fix a privacy issue in which Siri, its personal digital assistant, will read aloud hidden lock screen notifications on iPhones.  “We are aware of the issue and it will be addressed in an upcoming software update,” Apple said.

As reported by Brazilian website MacMagazine, users can simply ask Siri to “read my notifications” and the assistant will read aloud the contents of notifications from many apps, including ones that are hidden. Hopefully, the fix will come in iOS 11.3, which is currently in beta testing.
